Experienced Level Designers

We are looking for skilled Level Designers to work on a cutting edge, next generation title. As part of a friendly team you will be expected to design and create a number of interesting, balanced levels.
Skills & Experience
  • Educated to degree level or higher
  • Proven experience using level editors
  • Scripting skills
  • At least three years games industry experience as a level designer
  • Practical and academic knowledge of successful game design
  • Ability to prioritise and schedule tasks
  • Ability to design to given specifications
  • Ability to tune and analyse level layouts to maximize game play
  • Good AI navigation knowledge
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines

Experienced Concept Artists

We are looking looking for an exceptionally skilled Concept Artist to work on our next generation game. You will be expected to design high quality concepts for a number of imaginative characters and locations.
Skills & Experience
  • At least 4 years experience in the games industry
  • Strong 3D skills using Maya, Zbrush, 3DSMax,XSI
  • Excellent knowledge of anatomy and life drawing
  • Experience with Painter, Photoshop and 3Dstudio Max
  • Degree in painting or illustration strongly desired
  • Skills in one or many of the related creation tasks - animation, modelling, texturing
  • The ideal candidate will be a self motivated team player, who is capable of working to tight deadlines. A love of computer games is a must.

Experienced Character Artists

Dark Energy is looking for experienced and talented Character Artist to work on a revolutionary Next-Gen title. A self motivated team player, you will be expected to model a number of highly detailed next generation characters.

Skills & Experience:
  • At least 4 years experience in the games industry
  • BSc (H) degree in Animation/ related course
  • Experienced in using 3dMax
  • Must be organised and capable of working to tight deadlines
  • Pro-active in the solving of art-related problems for the game
  • The ideal candidate will be comfortable working both individually and as part of a team, and will be dedicated to producing high quality models. A love of computer games is a must

Experienced Character Animator

We are currently looking for experienced animators to work on a superlative next generation title. Working as part of an experienced team you will be expected to animate a number of highly detailed characters. All candidates require a portfolio/show-reel.
Skills & Experience:
  • Educated to a degree level or higher
  • Proven experience using 3dMax
  • Knowledge of Character Rigging, Motion-Capture and Scripting
  • The ideal candidate will be a self motivated team player, who is used to delivering high quality work under tight deadlines

Next-gen Tech Programmers

We are looking to recruit experienced Next-Gen Tech Programmers to join our expanding team. Working on a cutting edge Next-Gen title, you will be expected to implement new engine features and effects, maintain the existing engine code base, port engine features and effects to multiple platforms, and assist in producing technical design documents.
Skills & Experience:
  • 2+ years previous experience
  • C/C++ skills with game development programming experience
  • Experience of engine technology and developing tools in the games industry
  • OpenGl, DirectX <
  • Good verbal communication and written skills with an ability to be diplomatic when required
  • A passion for next generation games
  • A good team player

Experienced Environment Artists

At least 3 years in the industry, with 1 or more published next gen titles. Blazingly hot in 3DS Max, with a showreel to match. Next gen high/low poly models, UV mapping/unwrapping etc. Photoshop experience essential, demonstrating a flair for texturing to a high next gen standard. Experience in ZBrush or Mudbox an advantage.
Candidates should demonstrate an excellent next gen portfolio, and a clear understanding of the processes that go into producing a next gen game. Able to produce quality work quickly to tight deadlines, both individually and as part of a team.
